Tim Jonischkat

Software Engineer

I am a senior software engineer from the old coal-mining town of Bochum, Germany. My love for nature and hiking has brought me to Vancouver (Canada) in February 2020, after travelling & working around the world as a digital nomad for 2.5 years. I joined the team of PAI Health in their quest to improve people's health around the world.

With a Master's degree in Software Systems Engineering and nine years of professional experience, I support technology-based startups evolve their software ecosystems. I worked for companies such as Capgemini, Deutsche Telekom, Bayer and the airport of Düsseldorf, lead an international team of scientists in the European research project FI-WARE and served Hamburg-based startup companies in the e-commerce sector for cruises, fashion and furniture. I have proven experience both on the technological and the conceptual side, having worked in development, tech lead and product owner roles.

As a side project, I produced the first German documentary about digital nomads (sorry, the website is German, but we offer English subtitles for the movie!) in cooperation with Thorsten Kolsch.

My Myers-Briggs personality type is ESTJ.
